"Customer says that the dishwasher leaks when running. He initially thought it only leaked at the end of the cycle, however, he noticed leaking today and last night within the first 10 to 15 minutes. Tech inspected and removed the toe kick. Insulation is wet, but flooring under the unit has not been disturbed. Tech removed the lower spray arm and found it melted from contact with the heating element. Tech reattached the spray arm and started a cycle. The dishwasher fills with water and cavitation is occurring right away, indicating that the unit is under filled with water. Newfi shows 102-105khz for the water level, which is appropriate, meaning that the sensor is reading inaccurately. Tech ran the heater test and only had four drips of water occur during the 12 minute cycle. Enough testing has occurred for the technician to make a suggestion and provide a quote. Tech recommends a new lower spray assembly, new heating element, and new water inlet and sensor. Customer declined the quote and wants to replace the unit with a machine that will match his other appliances. Job is complete."

"Customer says that the range made a loud pop and then tripped the breaker. The breaker reset fine, but now the oven won't heat. Tech pulled the range away from the wall and removed the rear panel. The broil element is open and has failed. The interior light also does not work. Turned the oven on and measured electricity. The bake, broil, and convection elements all receive 120vac but not 240vac. Renoved the main control computer and found that the board has blown apart and the traces are all lifted from a dead short occurring. Tech inspected inside the oven and can see that the broil element did short out and cause all of the damage to occur. Tech provided a quote for a new broil element, main controller, and a new light. Customer declined at this time and wants to investigate a replacement machine. Job is complete."

"Customer says that the ice maker chute clogs up ever since the temperature sensor was replaced. Customer is not sure if it's coincidental or the issue was caused by the previous repair. Tech looked up information and found that the main control computer was replaced 6 months ago by another technician in our company, but no notes internally or through subzero about a sensor issue. Tech checked temperatures and found the freezer at 0 throughout and thenfridge at 37 throughout. The ice maker is on and the bin is full. Tech dispensed cubes from the front dispenser and from the bulk dispenser without issue. Tech verified that the ice route components are opening and closing correctly. Tech believes that cubes are fusing together in the bottom of the bin, leading to ice crushing and jamming against the ice route. Tech believes that using the bulk dispenser can help prevent jams. Customer will try using the interior dispenser. Job is complete."

"Customer states that the washer is leaking water. Tech removed the case and found a pile of rusty pil under the transmission. The tub seal is failed and water has corroded and destroyed the transmission. Tech started the washer. After filling up with 6 inches of water, water begins leaking from the outer tub. Tech looked at the left side outer tub and found a cracked running across the support brace. Crack in the outer tub is roughly 5 inches long. Tech explained findings to the customer that the transmission, clutch assembly, and outer tub would be needed for repair, in order to stop the leaking. Customer declined to receive a quote and is not interested in moving any further with the diagnosis. "Tech called the manufacturer and spent 1hr on the phone with the high risk ticket department. Tech ran the cooktop and oven through a series of tests. Cooktop hangs up and won't cycle off, confirming the cooktop issue is actively present. Tech got the oven preheated and monitored with a digital thermocouple. Oven is cycling properly but is hanging roughly 15 to 20 degrees too warm. Samsung suggests that the customer drop the calibration down to offset findings. Samsung denied coverage on the oven complaint but confirmed coverage for the cooktop. Tech was told to submit this ticket as complete and a follow up ticket will be issued for the cooktop repair. Job is complete."
