The price seemed a bit high, not gonna lie, until... the visit went from 'just a fix' to a mini education seminar covering dozens of pearls of wisdom when it comes to maintaining home appliances. We're talking which detergents are best, safest, and most effective, to leaving sauce on dishes to keep the dishwasher's components lubricated, to monthly shop vac and where and how to effectively use that to clean the dishwasher. He covered the physics and chemistry of why dishwasher break down and how to prevent and fix them, even which citric acids work best and the effects of detergents and citric acid on dishes and when to use them. I went from sticker shock on the price to tipping the guy for feeling like I got way more than I paid for by far. 5-stars on this guy's chart. I know exactly who I'm calling when I have problems with my other appliances.
