How Much Will It Cost?

Our repairs commonly cost between $250 and $500 for parts and labor combined, always quoted up-front from The Appliance Blue Book, the standard price guide used nationwide. For your peace of mind, we would love to provide an estimate when you call, but we can’t know for a fact what’s wrong until we look at your appliance.

What goes into the cost of service?

1. Diagnostic Fee

The least you’ll pay if you choose not to repair. This flat fee covers scheduling and communication, triage to bring the right parts, travel time and gas, diagnosis, and a repair estimate for you to approve, all for just $149 (except in special circumstances). The fee is included in the repair.

2. Parts & Labor

We use only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts to protect your appliance and your warranty coverage. Not all repairs require new parts: our techs are trained to find and fix the root issue, and they will not change parts unless necessary.

Repairs come with a 3-month guarantee on all labor and parts. In addition to cash and check, we accept: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.

Is there a cheaper option?

Schedule a remote visit for only $49 and we’ll try to help diagnose and fix the issue over the phone. If we can’t, the $49 is applied to the $149 diagnostic fee for us to come out.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been repairing appliances in Omaha?

Hometown Hero Appliance Repair was founded in Omaha in 1988. Back then, we worked out of the garage of Doug and Anne Carlson and were called Hometown Hero Appliance Repair. Now, under the leadership of their grandson, we are proud to still be serving Omaha nearly 40 years later.

Are your techs licensed and insured?

Very much so. Appliance repair is a risky business, and that’s a great reason to call a trustworthy company with decades of history.

Do you still sell appliance parts?

Yes, to ensure we have genuine OEM parts on-hand for our technicians, we partner with a major appliance parts distributor to house one of their warehouses at our office. You can order parts directly through our online parts store.

Do you service anywhere else?

Yes. Some years back, we were asked by some of our manufacturer and dealer partners to start servicing Lincoln, Des Moines, and eventually Kansas City. We are still locally-owned, and even as we grow, we maintain local ties to the communities we serve to remain “Your Hometown Hero.”
