"Customer described loud, vibrating noise coming from unit. This was an intermittent and occasional vibrating sound. I did hear this noise briefly but went away. Sounded like the compressor changing speeds. This unit has a linear compressor that controls the speed of compressor operation depending on unit cooling needs. Occasional vibration noises are normal, however very loud compressor noise can indicate future failure of compressor. Visited LGs website for troubleshooting noise complaints and had a example of compressor noise that matches the noise the customer heard. Current temperatures for compartments are 37? in fresh food and 7? in freezer. Determination is that the compressor is working as designed now however, abnormally loud noise may be a sign that future failure may occur. Instructed customer to determine if they were original purchaser of unit and if they have proof of purchase. Unit carries five year total warranty coverage on sealed system. Over five years, only the compressor cost is covered. Service fee collected and is good for 30 days."

Checked drain line going into under sink pipe. Removed drain line and ran into large bowl. Checked piping for obstruction and found none. Started drain cycle on unit and all added water to unit drained out perfectly. Reconnected drain line and tested again. Unit now drains as designed. Put unit through express 60 cycle and waited for operation. Unit went through normal drain cycle and fill. Then it went into heat cycle with upper vent starting as designed. Tech verified cooktop operation by turning on all burners. Adjusted potentiometers and started a bake cycle. Machine responds properly, ignitor begins glowing orange, and gas is successfully released. Turned oven off and on to try to replicate problem. After 45 minutes of running cycles and continually turning both selector knobs, tech has still not replicated the issue. Removed bullnose of machine and removed display hmi and potentiometers. No damage is visible and no spills or issues are found which may have caused issue. Tech verified error code is an f16 and also verified that f16 indicates communication failure between potentiometers and display hmi. Provided quote to customer for repair. Customer declined due to cost. Job is complete."

"Customer states FL code appeared after tech left. Followed speed queen diagrams to trouble shoot. Checked power to hot and cold valves, both hot and cold valves received 120v. checked mixing valve for debris, mixing valve is clear. Hot and cold hoses are in good condition with no kinks. Hot water seems to fill stronger than cold water, but tub does not take long to fill. Filled tub and monitor pressure sensor. Pressure sensor is measuring water accurately. Checked drain hose, found drain hose over 12 inches down stand pipe, moved drain hose up with only 6 inches in drain pipe. Ran unit on normal load. No error code given. If issue happens again, will want to replace mixing valve and pressure hose."

Customer still complained of D 80 error code. Changed flexible venting to semi rigid venting with two solid elbows. Tech line was contacted Help put unit into test modes. We disconnected venting and ran install mode and found no codes. Tech line determined unit is working perfectly. Tech line used visual support to inspect venting used behind unit to wall and agreed that it is within LG specs. Reconnected venting and ran install testing and found no codes. LG tech had me remove D 80 error code from programming algorithm. Unit is now working as designed. Any further codes such as D 85 or D 90 indicate issue with venting from wall to exterior. Found p8 connector had come off board. Reconnected. Compressor and condenser fan started running. Inspected evaporator motor. Shaft is moving freely within motor. Shaft still currently operates and turns fan blade. Needs new evaporator motor. Connected probes. Had pressures of -3 and 108 indicating sealed system failure. Pressures should be 10-20 and 75-85. Low side and high high side indicate unit has a leak and is pulling in non combustibles. Replaced the ice maker emitting boards and the filter cap. Attempted to replace the freezer gasket but the part in the box was not correct. Will need to order the correct gasket to finalize repair. I was able to get the old gasket back on as best as possibly However there are sections that are not fully inserted. Customer complaint of unit not draining. Upon inspection unit was put into spin only mode and heard lots of noise coming from drain pump. I pulled the clean out hose out and drained unit completely and removed filter plug. There was quite a bit of debris in the filter. Filter housing was vacuumed out and cleaned and filter was cleaned in washroom sink. Unit was reassembled and put into test mode. All individual loads tested and all tested OK. Pump is failed due to internal seal leakage. Provided quote for replacement pump and customer approved repair. Disassembled washer and replaced drain pump assembly. Used vacuum to remove remaining water and debris from basket and bellows hoses. Reassembled washer and started diagnostic testing. Machine shccessfully fills to the flood stage and begins agitation. After running agitation for 5 minutes to rinse the washer out, tech forced drain to occur. Drain pump removes all standing water from the machine with no issues. Machine now passes all testing.
