The new main PCB was getting power but did not communicate properly with the rest of the washer. A new main PCB and UI will be needed and I will return to complete the repair. Customer states that hot and cold dont seem to fill at the same rates. Also had lots of lint on clothing after last wash. Inspected machine. Ran quick wash on hot and normal on hot and both fill with hot water at the same rate. Cold and hot also fill at the same rate during both cycles. Shut off water supply and removed valve screens and minimal debris is present as customer has a house water softener. Reassembled machine and continued watching operation. During heavy agitation tech noticed lint debris inside water. Stopped cycle and removed lint debris to examine further. Lint debris is a Kleenex that has disintegrated in a wash cycle after being left in a pocket. Washer passes all tests and tech finds no issues with 7+ year old top load washer. "Customer states that oven has a very harsh smell when baking. Has occurred the last 2 or 3 times oven has been used. Has had to vent out the house due to aggressive odor. Inspected range. Customer has pulled machine out and away from the wall. Floor scratches are present. Checked inside duo oven and found divider installed. Spill mat is on the floor of the oven blocking both vents. Tried to remove mat and it is partially melted to the floor. Eventually removed mat and spoke to customer about its installation. Customer indicated that she recently added the mat, and it coincides with the time that the odor developed. Tech explained that no mat can be used in a gas oven as it will interfere with air and gas mixture, causing incomplete combustion to occur. Also explained that the mat melting is a likely culprit for additional odor being released. Ran both ovens and the cooktop through multiple tests. Found both oven zones and the cooktop are all operating properly without any unusual odors or harshness. Suggested that customer removed and discontinue use of duo divider if issues with her temperatures continue (minor secondary complaint). No repairs suggested at this time. "Upon inspection the washer would not start a cycle. I tried to spin the tub and noticed a loud noise coming from the motor. I tipped the washer back and removed the rotor. A screw from the clutch assembly had fallen in between the rotor and stator causing the grinding noise. The screws holding the clutch assembly were all loose and stripped from the gear case. "Upon inspection the washer would start a cycle and then fail to start spinning. I connected my diagnostic device and checked error codes. The machine had multiple codes for a locked motor, accelerometer failure, and inverter fault. I pulled the washer and checked on the motor and pulley. The motor start windings tested bad. When utilizing the diagnostic device the accelerometer was giving a speed reading when the drum wasnt spinning. "Upon inspection the washer makes a loud noise during the spin cycle and fails to completely spin out clothes. I first put the washer in test mode to confirm the function of the drain pump, gear case, motor, and lid lock. When activating the spin cycle the washer barely spins and hits the cabinet. The drain pump and lid lock operate correctly. I then tipped the unit back and found that the gear case has begun to leak oil. Also, the suspension on the washer has become weak and is allowing the tub to make contact with the cabinet. The washer will need a new gear case and suspension rods to complete the repair.
