"Customer states that the unit gradually warmed up last week and stopped cooling entirely on Friday. Tech connected newfi module to the machine and recorded data. All thermistors on the interior are reading very warm temperatures that are nearly ambient. Fans and compressor are on. Tech ran a specific cooling test by running the compressor and condenser fan at maximum speeds and tech directed refrigerant flow to the freezer compartment by changing the 3 way valve position. After 10 minutes of run time, coil temperature has fallen from 66 to 18. Tech turned freezer fan on and let it run for 7 minutes. Coil temperature has increased back to 56 degrees. Tech removed freezer evaporator cover and continued monitoring with the fan now off. Ice ball/ incomplete frost pattern develops. Only the first 10% of the evaporator coil develops frost, indicating a severe refrigerant issue has occurred. Tech provided a quote for new evaporator coils, new filter drier, and a new compressor. Customer declined quote due to costs and age of the machine. Job is complete."

"Tech met landlord who let him into tenants unit. Tenant is home and explained that she was running a wash load last night. Returned to the washer an hour later and the cycle was not complete and the carpet surrounding the washer is soaked. Tech inspected and found 3-4 feet of flooring around the washer to still be soaked. Tech removed front cover panel and started a drain and spin to remove the standing water. Washer successfully drains out and finishes spin without any leaks occurring. Tech started a 'whites' wash cycle and monitored. At the end of the 25 minute cycle, no leaking has occurred. Washer operations were very rough with drain pump noise, transmission noise, belt tensioner noise, and the spin basket appears to be loose and bangs against outer tub during spin. Tech ran a 'colors' cycle (most used cycle by the customer) and no leaking is found after that cycle completes. Tech explained findings to the tenant and landlord. Landlord has opted to replace the machine due to issues. Job is complete."

Tech checked cooktop and did not immediately replicate issue. Checked bulletins and found that the cooktop has a known issue with infinite switches not regulating temperature properly. Tech inspected and verified complaint. 4 burners work properly and the 5th clicks and releases gas but won't start unless a flame is provided to the burner. Tech looked at the igniter and the ceramic coating is cracked. Tech removed burners to see if cooktop can be removed. Found front right screws seized up and rusted through. Eventually removed screws but the base is damaged from corrosion. Tech checked parts diagram now that the cooktop can confidently be removed. Gave customer a quote for a new igniter, new burner base, and two replacement screws. Customer declined. Job is complete."

Unit was in leak fail safe thats why it was beeping and flashing the cancel light. Customer also stated they found water on the floor. I removed leak tray and it was full of water and appeared that it possibly leaked from the right side. I ran unit for 30 minutes and could not replicate the leak. Customer stated there was sheet pans on the bottom rack but couldnt remember how they were positioned. I explained that if there is a pan or something large parallel to the front door towards the front it can deflect water at the lower door seal causing it to leak from the front. At this time I am unable to replicate the leak.

"Unit getting a 40 3 40 excessive compressor run time zone 3 (freezer). Found frost build up,on the rear of the freezer. Removed evaporator cover and found top half of the evap frozen up and bottom half clear. Put unit into manual defrost and the trough heater comes on but the defrost heater is not. Heater has 23ohms resistance and bi metal has good continuity. When manually activating the defrost relay however the heater does come on. Called techline and they recommended updating the software first if there was one. There is new software for this unit so I updated the software and defrosted the evaporator. Now in manual defrost the heater is coming on. Allow 24 hours for temps to return to normal.
