"Customer states that the fridge stopped cooling. High temperature alarm kept going off, so the customer tried to power cycle the unit by holding the cooling off button for 3 seconds. Machine never powered back on, however, and display no longer works. Tech arrived and found interior light on, but no operations occurring. Removed panel and plugged it back in. All led lights flash and a start up chime plays, but keys remain inactive. Tech disconnect low voltage harness and plugged console in and now operations are back. Compressor, fans, and console now work. Reconnected low voltage harness and board experiences no hiccups. Tech removed thermistors and both read 3.11k ohm. Plugged both sensors back in and they are reading 1.1vdc. Sensors have no issues. Tech monitored for a frost pattern to develop and no frost pattern occurs. Used gas sniffer on the evaporator and could not find a source of the refrigerant leak, which concerns tech, as leak may be occurring in the yoder loop heat exchanger. Tech downloaded the owners manual to see if any warranty is present on the unit, in order to help the customer out. Owners manual specifically offers coverage on side by side and French door fridges but does not mention stand alone fridges and freezers. Explained findings and customer wants a quote for repair, despite tech explaining that a leaking yoder loop is considered unrepairable by the manufacturer. Tech provided quote to the customer and customer is very upset and feels misled about the service visit and called it a $200 grab. Customer feels that the customer service representatives at the office should have known that his machine may have an unrepairable issue like this. Tech continued to try to explain that a refrigerant leak in of its self is not unrepairable, but that this specific machine failed in a way that can't be appropriately repaired to the manufacturers specifications as it would require major modifications to the unit. Customer refused to pay for the service fee and kicked technician out of his house. Job is complete."

Upon inspection the dryer was not heating during cycles. I first confirmed the outlet had a good 240V and gained access to the heater. I found the high limit was popped and replaced the heater assembly. I then reassembled the dryer and ran a test cycle.
