Customer says all 4 burners in cooktop overheat. Says that items will boil even when set to the lowest setting. Tech turned all burners on to lowest level and watched. Each element is energized and heats for a few seconds and then shuts off. Each element then waited roughly 40 seconds before turning back on for a few seconds. Tech slowly adjusted each infinite switch to higher and higher temperature and found all elements continuing to cycle properly. Brought elements to level 8 and watched them rapidly turn on and off and none of them staying stuck on. Explained findings to customer and explained that no failures are present with machine as all Infinite switch controls appear to be cycling properly at all settings. No repairs suggested at this time. Job is complete.

During inspection there was standing water within the unit. Activated the drain pump and noticed water wasnt flowing into the sink. I did noticed the drain line goes into the basement then up into the sink. I removed the line attached to the garbage disposal and noticed they had placed a smaller diameter copper pipe within. The copper pipe was also clogged with debris. Removed the copper pipe and reassembled the line onto the garbage disposal. Ran multiple cycles to confirm that water was draining out of the unit and that there was no signs of any leaks. Unit is operating properly. "Customer complaints of the unit would not heat at all. I then disassembled the unit and found that the heater was testing good in ohms. I then checked the thermistor and found that it was not reading at the correct ohms. I then installed a new thermistor and found that the unit was still not heating. And then found that the motor connector was not plugged in all the way so I plugged it in and found that the unit did start to heat. Inspected machine. Upper 5 light modules are not illuminated. Removed ceiling and disconnected 3 lights. Probed harness with dmm and found 0vdc supplied. Removed other two lights from system and still 0vdc is present. Pulled fridge away from wall and removed covers from pcbs. Checked led driver pcb over and found burnt mosfet. Driver pcb board has failed and caused lights to no longer work. Will submit for authorization on computer. Job is not complete.
