"Customer states that ice is building up and informing on the back wall again inspected and verify there is a ice block forming on the back wall of the interior fresh food compartment was able to pull back the cover and see that once again theres an ice block forming in the upper right quadrant by the suction line at the UH That is in line with a known issue from Samsung on this model. On previous visit, I followed the instructions per the service bulletin to ensure all the wiring and everything was out of the way. However, the ice block has reformed. On this visit, I installed a third-party spliced in drain heater, and coupled it on the suction line with copper brackets, spiced it in with the defrost heater, tested and verified full functionality of all fans and the defrost through the auxiliary heater. "Unit is making a clunking noise at times that maybe last 2-5 seconds, some times a click. Was unable to replicate the clunk but from the description it sound like its the compressor. The unit did make the click when I first arrived and it sounded like the overload in the start device or the defrost timer coming out of defrost as the unit was running after the click but not sure if it was prior to it however. Was able to replicate the click again and its definitely the overload on the start device but it was because I shut the unit off and turned it back on before the refrigerant pressure could equalize and the compressor could not start. To fix the clunking I would recommend a rebuild of the sealed system compressor, evaporator, filter drier, and heat exchanger."

"Customer states that the icemakers are not cycling and making as much ice as advertised. Theres also an abundance of frost buildup all over products in the freezer and the icemaker assembly. After discussing with the customer and pulling cooling data using HASS it was discovered that the door to the freezer was not being kept consistently shut, and that there was large spikes and temperature correlating to door opening detections. Showed customer the details of the reporting and pointed out frost buildup on the rails, which was likely due to doors being left a jar at previous times which is now keeping the door from fully closing and sealing naturally. Advise the customer to steam away the excess frost buildup from the rails, had everything dry and re-power up the unit also advise customer to reduce temperatures in freezer to -2 from 0? as this will also help with ice production cycling. Customer will follow this advice and contact us back if he has any additional issues."

"Arrived and tenant states that washer worked fine prior to being moved to their new rental home. Now washer fills but won't progress. Tech opened and closed the lid but found lid switch not operating. Removed front cover and lid, and inspected further. Foubd linkage between lid and lid switch to be jammed and out of its proper position. Reset linkage and lid switch has a crisp 'snap' when the lid is opened or closed. Ran a drain and spin cycle to remove old standing water and started a new wash cycle. Washer fills, agitates, drains, and spins without any operational issues. Towards end of the cycle, water leaks from the drain pump area. Drain pump is weeping water through the side of the pump housing where am assembly screw has rusted away. Tech checked availability of drain pump. Pump is discontinued and none are available locally. Only replacement option is new-old stock on eBay or off-brand remakes of the pump through Amazon.
