"Arrived and found freezer zones at 17 to 25 degrees. Lifted machine cover and found freezer compressor not running. Checked inverter and 120vac is supplied to the controller and 120vac signal is supplied. Removed inverter pcb and installed new controller. New controller immediately powers on and the compressor starts pumping. Monitored temperatures on the front display and within 5 minutes, temperatures are now showing at 9 and 23. Displays are flashing error codes due to temperature issues. Tech cycled power to the unit. Allowed dwell to end and verified operations have resumed. Job is complete."

Tech line suggests to look for a leak in system. Recovered refrigerant. Pressured to 100psi nitrogen. Inspected both evaporators. No dye found on UV or soap. Found freezer evap had insufficient defrost pattern. Moved defrost sensor. After 20 minutes, pressures dropped from 100 to 90psi. Soaped all joints and fittings. No bubbles were found. Suspect leak to be interior. Vacuumed system to 700 microns. Charged with 2oz of r600. Final pressures -8 and 44. Please allow 24 hours for unit to cool."

Compressor, condenser fan, and evaporator fan are running. Tech tasted the ice and smelled zones. A very faint, but sharp odor is present. Tech checked all items inside machine and none are spoiled or are the source of smell. Emptied freezer to inspect evaporator. While removing silicone ice molds, customer noticed the smell get stronger. Customer and tech investigated the silicone molds and found a sharp odor coming from them. Upon inspection the refrigerator was not cooling and power cord was broken. I spliced in a power cord and ran unit for 30 minutes. I then checked the evaporator saw no frost pattern. Upon inspection the refrigerator had not been cooling properly. I used my diagnostic device to check thermistors as well as fans. The fresh food evaporator had improper defrost and the fan wasnt responding. I used my steamer to clear ice and replaced the evaporator fan. I then reassembled the refrigerator and tested the unit. Upon is the dryer had a hot/burnt smell while running. I first start a cycle and checked the venting. The unit vents into a pair of pantyhose which was very full and clogged with lint. The dryer was hotter than expected as well. I recommended changing the pantyhose to allow better airflow out of the dryer. There was no sign of burnt lint near the heater.
