"Customer states that the washer is giving an IE error code. Tech ran a cold water test and error code occurs. Tech canceled the cycle and ran a hot only cycle. Error still occurs. In both instances, the tub is very full of water. Tech entered service mode and ran waterlevel tests and found that the pressure sensor system stays at 255 regardless of the physical water level. Tech removed the lid and tested the transducer directly. Transducer kHz is not changing with the water level, however, the transducer is reading 24ohm, which is proper. Findings indicate that the main computer has failed and the pressure transducer may need to be replaced due to unusual readings. Tech explained findings and provided quote to the customer. Customer declined repair. Job is complete."

Customer says that fridge finally started to cool back down about 16 hours ago. Tech arrived and checked temperatures. 40 in the fridge, 0 in the freezer, and 17 in the ice bin. Bin is empty as is the ice mold. Tech entered service mode and test 56 shows e0, test 57 successfully heats and harvests, and test 45 successfully fills the mold with water. Customer had questions regarding maintenance on other appliances in home and tech happily answered all of them. While collecting the service call for today's inspection, ice maker initiates harvest, then drops a full batch of cubes and successfully refills on its own. Tech let customer know that if issues continued through the weekend that a replacement computer may be necessary. Job is complete."

"Started dryer and rollers are failed. Removed lid and door and can physically see that all 4 rollers have flat spots worn into them and both front rollers have destroyed the shafts and bushings. Gave quote to the customer for the maintenance kit for LG dryers. Customer approved repair. Tech installed 4 updated rollers and shafts. Wiped lint and debris out of the dryer and reassembled. Ran tests of dryer and found airflow to be appropriate, heat to be appropriate, and noises related to failure to be gone."

"Customer says that both ovens work properly. None of the cooktop elements will heat. Controls respond properly and roughly 10 seconds after a selection is made, element control 'turns off'. Elements are not working during this time. Tech disassembled machine and slid it away from the wall. Disconnected all communication wiring between all 5 computers and reset connectors. Cycled power and reset machine. Tested cooktop elements, now, and found that each will intermittently heat. Testing confirmed that the elements themselves are proper. Issue resides in the computers that control the cooktop. User interface, cooktop pcb, main pcb, and communication wiring are suggested to be replaced per the service bulletin and technical documentation in smarthq diagnostic tool. Tech provided information and a quote to the customer."

"Customer says that their chest freezer is less than a year old and won't work properly. Tech arrived and FE error is displayed on the console. Customer says that if they wiggle a wire harness on the back of the lid, the unit will kick back on after a few minutes. Tech wiggled harness and verified that the compressor powers on and cooling occurs. Tech removed covers and found harnesses plugged in and pins undamaged. Checked harnesses at the main pcb and they are undamaged and seated. Removwd and reconnected all harnesses, but FE error is still occurring. Tech focused on the hinge area and found, ultimately, that the wire harness in the lid is faulty. Looked for replacement parts and found that the manufacturer has no replacement parts. Tech checked manufacturer website, owners manuals, and midea-oriented websites like encompass and no replacement parts are available. Tech is unable to quote for repair due to inavailablility of parts. Tech suggests that the customer contact manufacturer to escalate the issue to get a replacement unit or replacement lid while the machine is still under warranty."
