"Customer states that the fridge had stopped cooling, so he bought a new one. Recently found out that repair is covered under warranty and wants it repaired to use a second fridge in home. Tech arrived and machine is pulled out and unplugged in living room area. Plugged machine in and confirmed that compressor is operating. Tapped into system and found pressures of 13-15 psi witch pressures equalized on both sides while running. Inefficient compressor is confirmed. Installed new compressor and pressure tested with 200psi of nitrogen. Machine loses less than 1psi after sitting for 8 minutes. Pulled vacuum to 750 microns and recharged with 2oz of r600a. Plugged machine in and verified refrigerant is flowing properly and cooling has started occurring. Pressures after 15 minutes are -10low and 54high. Ran unit and cannot find any signs of a leak, and u it is draining out properly. There was some build up on the inlet of the garbage disposal but it was not blocked. Connor find an issue with the unit at this point. "Customer complaint of a shuttering noise during rinse cycle. Inspected all components on diagnostic cycle, and no errors were detected. Ran unit through unit under load and listened for unbalanced. no errors detected. Tested unit on Delicate cycle. On Initial fill, no errors found. Unit was put into rinse cycle with only use of cold valve. Shuttering noise confirmed. Valve body may have mineral buildup causing noise. Reduced water pressure by closing valve at wall slightly and re tested. Shuttering noise was greatly reduced. No further repairs are necessary at his time. Arrived at home and found freezer temperatures warm. Fridge is warm but closer to set point. Compressor is very loud on unit. Pulled fridge away from wall and checked charge pressures. -7 and 45 are seen as the split. Emptied charge and full charge came out of system. Pressure tested system before removing compressor and system held 168psi for 11 minutes without dropping further. Removed drier and compressor from machine and brazed new parts in. Repeated pressure test and test is proper again and no bubbles are found on technicians connections. Pulled vacuum down to 835 after 20 minutes and rise stays under 1000 after 4 minutes. Recharged system with 2.2oz of r600 and powered unit back on. Machine pulls back down to -5psi and 47psi but compressor drone is now gone. MChine is actively cooling again and working properly. "Customer states that machine is making a lot of noise during operation. Arrived at home and can hear fan hitting ice. Noise is occurring in the freezer at the evaporator fan. Checked temperatures and fresh food is at 41 and freezer is at -2. Unplugged freezer fan and noise instantly stops. Removed evaporator cover and found heavy ice accumulation on top of the evaporator. Lower evaporator has normal frost pattern. Downloaded tech manual as machine does not have access to newfi diagnostics. No forced modes or key presses allow technician to run forced defrost. Tech manually thawed top of coil and waited to see if defrost would occur, but defrost does not. Tech believes that one of the doors was left open for an extended period of time or may be being left open more frequently for short periods at a time. If doors are not being left open, the main pcb and defrost thermistor may be malfunctioning. Proacrively provided quote to customer for new board and sensor and customer declined at this time. Job is complete."
