Customer had an f8e4 overfill/ float switch open aka leak sensor in bottom detected a leak. Customer states pump would just continuously run which is the default when a leak is detected. Found some water in the leak pan.moraines leak pan and ran unit. Found that water was coming from the door seal area due to a screw that holds the inner and outer door panels together had backed out and was preventing the door from closing completely. "Tapped into system and got equalized pressures of 16psi confirming a failed compressor. I reclaimed full charged worth of refrigerant. Unit will need the compressor, and drier replaced. I removed old compressor and drier from unit. I then installed and welded in new compressor and drier. Then proceeded to pressurize system with nitrogen to 200 psi. I checked all welds with bubble leak detector and no leaks were found. Next I vacuumed down the system for 15 minutes and achieved a xxx micron vacuum. After removing vacuum, pump the vacuum settled out at xxx microns. Vacuum holding steady. I then recharged system with 60g r600a refrigerant. Unit is now running and beginning to blow cold air. "Customer states that fridge is not getting cold enough. Also having issues with panel showing the set point, mot actual. Has machine set to 34 and thermometers inside read 40 consistently. Tech used infrared thermometer and found sensor and zone reading 40-50 degrees. Tech plugged newfi into machine and found sensor readings 32 degrees. Looked at chart data logger via newfi and found room is consistently reading between 22 and 38 degrees. Tech believes sensor issue is present. Disassembled fresh food and took readings of sensor. 2.5vdc and 15.11k ohm are seen. Checked thermistor chart. Thermistor is reading 34 degrees per thermistor chart. Actual infrared reading is 51 now that the doors have been open. Removed back panel and installed new thermistor. Replaced main pcb. Reassembled machine and monitored temperatures. Techs thermistor and machine thermistor are reading properly between one another an are within .75 degrees of each other. Infrared reading also now matching machine reading. User interface is still showing set point and is not displaying actual (which is an option). If panel issues resume after cooling for 24hrs, tech would suggest replacement of panel. Lower anchor had broken causing ice maker to come off the front top anchor screw and the bail arm was raised to the off position as a result. Rescued the ice maker assembly to the side freezer wall and tested. Ice maker cycled correctly and is now secured properly.

"Customer had an f8e4 overfill/ float switch open aka leak sensor in bottom detected a leak. Customer states pump would just continuously run which is the default when a leak is detected. Found some water in the leak pan.moraines leak pan and ran unit. Found that water was coming from the door seal area due to a screw that holds the inner and outer door panels together had backed out and was preventing the door from closing completely.
