"Arrived and found customer in the middle of a house renovation. Entered laundry room and floor is wet surrounding machine. I opened the lid and water is dripping into the tub and overflowing onto the ground. Went to turn off the water supplies and noticed the hot side leaking at the shut off. Turned shut offs to the off position and the cold valve solenoid has failed and is weeping. Tested machine in an attempt to force a drain out to occur. Lid switch is not being activated. Tech pressed on the switch linkage with a screw driver and the switch activates and allows the tub to be drained out. Tech removed console and accessed the switch. Tech finds no issue with the lid striker, the linkage, or the switch position. Tech believes that switch has just worn out. Tech temporarily bypassed the lid switch and ran a test cycle to see operations occurring. Machine checks out, aside from the constant fill and switch issue. Provided quote for a new valve assembly, new fill hoses, and a new lid switch. Offered 10% discount for military discount and customer declined. Job is complete."

"Customer says that the dishwasher leaked from the black hose on the left side of the machine. Tech arrived and can see that a leak has occurred around the fill flame water director. Flume appears to be undamaged as does the fill hose from the valve to the flume. Turned unit on and watched operations for 40 minutes and no leaking is ever observed. Tech believes that the extremely tight installation of the machine inside the cabinetry likely applied pressure to the fill fume, causing it to warp and leak previously. Tech believes that opening and closing the door likely repositioned the machine and took the pressure off of the flume. Second, older, leak was detected from the wash motor and tech pointed it out to the customer. Tech does not suggest repair at this time as neither leak point are actively leaking. Job is complete."
