"Customer purchased a new drain pump from our shop and wants to know how to install it. Tech arrived and asked to run the washer first, for a proper diagnosis. Tech ran unit through testing and found fill, agitation, and drain to be proper. Lid switch is also working. Tech monitored the spin and noticed that the spin occasionally isn't occurring. When set to high speed, basket only seems to run at a low to medium speed. On low speed, the basket rotates at roughly 50rpm. Tech continued to open and close the lid while running in spin, and the clutch pack is not gripping properly on the rotating assembly. Transmission and clutch are faulty. Looked under the washer and confirmed the presence of rusty, oily, water. Tech explained findings to the customer and suggests new agitator dogs, new stabilizer springs, new motor coupler, new transmission, and new clutch pack. Customer declined repairs and will return her drain pump for a refund. Job is complete."

"Customer says that cycles won't always start properly. Also has noticed rust on the lid. Tech started a cycle and found the timer very difficult to turn. Gears inside feel as if they may be damaged. Knob also has no indicator on it to know where it is pointed when selecting/starting a cycle. Ran a drain and spin and found the belt tensioner squeaking loudly. Removed front panel and found minimal rust inside the case. Base of the lid is rusty around the opening. Tech started a heavy duty wash and monitored. Washer struggles to fill even though 'warm' is selected. Tech tested cold and found no water entering machine. No flow change between hot and warm confirms this. Opened console and verified that 120vac is supplied to the cold valve when set to cold and warm but no valve hum occurring. Tech changed fill level to start the test cycle. Washer runs seemingly without major issues. Tech provided a quote for a new fill valve, fill hoses, belt, belt tensioner assembly, and timer. "Customer wants ovens inspected as they are old and have never needed repair. Tech inspected and found 1985 double wall oven in the kitchen. Ovens are clean and interior lights work. Turned both ovens on to bake and broil; which allowed tech to physically feel each element and co firm their operation. Tech placed digital thermometers inside of each oven cavity and set the ovens to roughly 350 degree bake. Tech monitored the temperatures through 5 cycles and took an average reading for each zone. Upper oven shows an average temperature of 363 degrees through nearly 40 minutes of run time. Lower oven shows and average of 368 degrees through the same duration. Ovens appear to work properly and average readings are within the tolerance that the technician would expect. Oven does not have any easy calibration or adjustments to be made, so tech is relieved that the ovens are running slightly hot and within a few degrees of our rough set point. Tech has no suggestions for repair as machine passes operational tests. Job is complete."

Tech opened lid and found fill valves leaking water into the tub continuously. Washer is filled to the brim and is nearly overflowing. Tech started a drain and spin cycle. Washer locks and drains out fully. Unit begins to spin but then stops. Entered service mode and retrieved two error codes then started an auto test. Unit completes the auto test without issues, including high speed spin. Tech tried to run a rinse and spin and a light wash cycle and unit acts very unusually. Washer locks the lid, senses the load, then goes straight to 'done' being displayed. Washer has multiple issues confirmed by error codes and testing. Lid lock is not working properly, suspension is very soft, the shift actuator is not working correctly, and the fill valves have failed. Tech generated a quote for the repair and the customer declined. Job is complete."

Upon is the washer had been stopping mid cycles and giving a suds error. I first checked the drum and found evidence of early damage to the spider gear at the back of the tub. I then checked for error codes and had multiple for door lock failure. I then attempted to drain the unit but it drains very slow due to a failing drain pump.
