Any number of blocked or damaged components can cause your fridge to make loud noises, including fan motors, water lines, and dirty condenser coils. Let an expert determine the root cause and fix it.

Compartment is Warm

If your fridge isn’t cooling, the issue could be a malfunctioning thermostat, broken fans, obstructed vents, compressor failure, or a cracked gasket. Let an expert determine the root cause and fix it.

Frost Build-up in Freezer

Excessive frost in your freezer can be caused by a malfunctioning defrost system, blocked air vents, clogged condensation drains, or a cracked seal. Let an expert determine the root cause and fix it.

Preventative Maintenance

Refrigerator Condenser Cleaning

Every refrigerator and freezer relies on a condenser to transfer heat from the compartments to the exterior air, thereby cooling the interior. As dust accumulates on the condenser coils, your refrigerator has to work harder to stay cool, leading to higher utility bills and more breakdowns. Our technicians are trained to access and safely clean this valuable component.

Ice Maker Cleaning

Sediment builds up over time in all ice makers, both standalone ice machines and built-in ice dispensers. This sediment will discolor your ice and can even become a breeding ground for unsanitary microbes. Our technicians are trained to disassemble and clean all ice makers to ensure your ice stays perfect.

How Much Will It Cost?

Refrigerator repairs commonly cost between $250 and $500 for parts and labor combined, always quoted up-front from The Appliance Blue Book, the standard price guide used nationwide. For your peace of mind, we would love to provide an estimate when you call, but we can’t know for a fact what’s wrong until we look at your appliance.

What goes into the cost of service?

1. Diagnostic Fee

The least you’ll pay if you choose not to repair. This flat fee covers scheduling and communication, triage to bring the right parts, travel time and gas, diagnosis, and a repair estimate for you to approve, all for just $149 (except in special circumstances). The fee is included in the repair.

2. Parts & Labor

We use only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts to protect your appliance and your warranty coverage. Not all repairs require new parts: our techs are trained to find and fix the root issue, and they will not change parts unless necessary.

Repairs come with a 3-month guarantee on all labor and parts. In addition to cash and check, we accept: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.

Is there a cheaper option?

Schedule a remote visit for only $49 and we’ll try to help diagnose and fix the issue over the phone. If we can’t, the $49 is applied to the $149 diagnostic fee for us to come out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your techs licensed and insured?

Very much so. Appliance repair is a risky business, and that’s a great reason to call a trustworthy company with decades of history.

Do you do emergency repairs after hours or on weekends?

We provide service 5 days a week, from 8am to 5pm, and we’ll do what we can to work you into our schedules earlier if the refrigerator repairs are urgent, such as water leaks and warm compartments that could spoil your groceries.

Should I turn off the appliance before you come?

Keep your refrigerator plugged in unless it’s belching smoke.

How long do refrigerators commonly last?

Refrigerators are expected to last between 10-15 years on average, after which, it may start losing cooling efficiency, causing your utility bills to spike and your food to spoil faster. Individual components will also wear out over time: some are easy to replace, others require significantly more expensive repairs, such as sealed system repair. Proper maintenance of your appliance throughout its entire lifespan is the key to making your refrigerator last 15 or even 20 years.

Is it worth it to repair my refrigerator or should I just replace it?

Every repair costs far less than buying and installing a new refrigerator and paying to dispose of the old model. Buying new appliances also eats up more of your time and has a greater environmental cost. That said, there comes a time when our technicians will recommend replacing: when the parts are no longer in production or we cannot guarantee the repair to last given the overall state of the fridge.
